Vita C has been formulated by veterinarians to provide essential vitamin C supplementation to guinea pigs. Like humans, guinea pigs cannot produce their own vitamin C and must consume it from their diet. Vitamin C is required for many processes in the body, such as collagen production (a component in bones, skin, ligaments, and blood vessels) and immune system maintenance. Lack of vitamin C in the diet can lead to deficiency and result in the development of scurvy.
Key Features:
- Stabilised Vitamin C - Stabilised vitamin C is used to help limit the degradation of vitamin C over time.
- Daily Formula - Should be used daily to supplement the diet and keep your guinea pigs in optimum health.
- Naturally Delicious - Easy to administer to all small animals as a highly palatable chew made from fresh Australian ingredients. No artificial flavours or colours.
Maintenance Dose: Provide 1 chew per 1kg of body weight daily.
