Calcium EDTA Solution
Calcium EDTA Solution is an intramuscular injection for the veterinary treatment of lead poisoning in birds.
Calcium EDTA for IM injection to treat heavy metal poisoning in caged and aviary birds.
Calcium EDTA injection is used at the rate of 35 – 45 mg/Kg body weight once daily for 5 days.
May be diluted with saline prior to use.
Concentration of calcium EDTA is 100 mg/ml of injection – therefore amount injected is 0.35 – 0.45 mL per Kg of bird.
Alternate injection sites between injections to prevent tissue irritation.
Store at 4-8 0C (Refrigerate).
