Introducing Vetafarm’s brand new companion parrot diet formulated to aid in the relief of stress and anxiety

Stress and anxiety can be very common in birds. In fact, studies suggest that around 70% of companion parrots have behavioural issues – 80-90% most of which are attributed to stress and anxiety.

Parrot B-Calm is the world’s first complete diet for companion parrots that aids in the relief of stress and anxiety. Using actives L-Tryptophan and Thiamine, Parrot B-Calm may assist with stabilisation of mood, appetite, memory, and social behaviours. It is a non-drowsy, non-sedative formula designed to provide complete nutrition for your bird.

“Parrot B-Calm is the result of result of over 30 years in the bird industry, and in particular the parrot industry, where we see lots of birds who are unhappy. We all see those birds who are agitated in the cage, won’t settle, who have a lot of behavioural problems, and what we have done is to take that as a problem and try and find a solution. That’s what we’ve achieved with Parrot B-Calm”.

Dr Tony Gestier – Director of Vetafarm, Avian Veterinarian and Nutritionist

How does it work?

Parrot B-Calm uses the natural actives L-Tryptophan and Thiamine for a non-drowsy, non-sedative formula designed to provide complete nutrition for your bird at the same time. Parrot B-Calm helps with stabilisation of mood, appetite, memory, and social behaviours.

Time and care should be given to consider a bird’s environment and other potential stress/anxiety triggers that may require management in addition to feeding Parrot B-Calm. For additional support, please do not hesitate to contact our experienced team.

Rescue macaw Miranda thrives with Parrot B-Calm

Miranda had been severely traumatised by a bigger and stronger male bird, did not trust anyone and could not fly. She nearly died from blood loss due to self-mutilation, repeatedly ripping out her tail feathers and screaming. Carmen McGill spent three years rehabilitating Miranda, which took a lot of patience, love, tears and determination to win the parrot’s trust. Halfway through her rehabilitation, Carmen began feeding Miranda Parrot B-Calm.

“Within a week I could clearly see a difference!” she said. “Parrot B-Calm took the edge off – it wasn’t making her sleepy, just more relaxed.”
