Mango was six weeks old when she came into my care. Her previous owner was feeding her a seed mix. I researched what foods Sun Conures should be eating as I wanted to provide her with the best food to keep her healthy. While researching, I realised that Mango shouldn’t be eating seeds at all. I wanted to know more, so I called a Vet to get more information. He told me that seeds were like fast food for birds and should only be given as a treat or not at all as they are high in fat and low in vitamins and minerals. After checking out all the ingredients, I chose Parrot Essentials for Mango. I put the pellets in a bowl in her cage. At first, she was confused and hesitant to try them as she had only ever eaten seeds, but when she tried them, she loved them. Mango is now six years old. Her diet still mainly consists of Vetafarm Parrot essentials with the addition of fresh fruits and nuts. Mango is a very bubbly, happy, and healthy little parrot, and I am glad that I can provide her with Vetafarm Parrot essentials so she can live her best life and live happily and healthily for many more years to come.
