Rats, mice, guinea pigs and rabbits require their enclosures and equipment to be deep cleaned every one to two weeks, depending on the number of animals in the enclosure. A build-up of droppings, urine and food can accumulate quickly in your pet’s enclosure, hindering your pet’s overall health.
Your pet’s hutch should never smell, smells are often a sign of built up urine, droppings and old food. Daily spot cleaning is recommended to keep your hutch and animals clean and safe.
How to use Hutch Clean?
- Before cleaning your animal’s hutch or enclosure, make sure to relocate them to a temporary safe enclosure
- Remove all equipment, food, water and bedding from the hutch and spray over with Hutch Clean
- Leave for 5 minutes to allow disinfection to occur
- Scrub equipment and hutch if desired
- Rinse and allow to dry
- Once the equipment and hutch are dry, place your animals back in the enclosure!
