The Companion Animal Rescue Awards (Rescue Awards) is a for-purpose initiative created by Cathy Beer of Pets4Life, an independent educational resource whose mission is to improve pet wellbeing in Australia, and provide force-free dog training services. The Rescue Awards is Australia’s first and only national awards program that celebrates and recognises achievements in rescue, sheltering, rehabilitation, and rehoming of companion animals. The Rescue Awards is for rescue groups, animal shelters, councils, pet adopters, foster carers, volunteers, and other organisations that help people keep their pets in the community.
